Full casting has been announced for the Broadway revival of Peter Shaffer's Equus, starring Daniel Radcliffe as troubled teen Alan Strang and Tony Award winner Richard Griffiths as Martin Dysart, which will play the Broadhurst Theatre, September 5-February 8, with an official opening on September 25. The production will be directed by Thea Sharrock.
Equus tells the story of a deeply disturbed 17-year-old stable boy who blinds six horses, and the psychiatrist who attempts to treat him. The original Broadway production of Equus opened in 1974 and ran for 1,209 performances. Griffiths and Radcliffe starred in the recent West End production, also directed by Sharrock.
In addition to previously announced Kate Mulgrew (Hesther Saloman), the supporting cast will feature Anna Camp (Jill Mason), Graeme Malcolm (Harry Dalton), Carolyn McCormick (Dora Strang), Lorenzo Pisoni (Nugget/Horseman), Sandra Shipley (Nurse), T. Ryder Smith (Frank Strang), and Collin Baja, Tyrone Jackson, Spencer Liff, Adesola Osakalumi, and Marc Spaulding (horses).
The revival features sets and costumes by John Napier, lighting by David Hersey, and sound design by Gregory Clarke.
Radcliffe is best known for playing Harry Potter in the series of films based on J.K. Rowling's novels; Griffiths, who appears in those films as Harry's uncle Vernon Dursley, won the Tony and Olivier Awards for his portrayal of Hector in The History Boys.

Tranquilli, non é la ragazza di Strang/Radcliffe... i vestiti non glieli fanno togliere...
Però complimenti alla Siora Senatrice, Equus é una delle "pieces" teatrali più famose ed apprezzate.
P.S. Speriamo che il maghetto la faccia sparire...
