Carriera: Non si può parlare di una vera e propria carriera, in quanto è un civile imbarcato sull'Enterprise, inoltre il suo personaggio è avvolto in un alone di mistero che rende molto affascinante ogni sua apparizione; di lei si sa che conosce molto bene Q e la sua razza, sappiamo che capisce molto bene i sentimenti delle persone, anche quelli più remoti, riuscendo sempre a consigliare nel modo migliore le persone in difficoltà. Una sua apparizione risale addirittura al 1893 a San Francisco, dove si deduca abbia vissuto per un certo periodo. La sua razza è stata assimilata e distrutta dai Borg.

Come ho detto nell'altro topic la adoro , sia come personaggio che come attrice.
La riengo estremamente eclettica e fantastica nelle sue caratterizzazioni.
Proprio su imdb ho letto la sua biografia e non ha avuto vita facile sopratutto il suo primo lavoro, doveva avere stomaco!(truccatrice di cadaveri-spero di aver tradotto bene).
Cmq non si omologa allo stile di un attrice per bene nemmeno con i suoi comportamenti.

I dubbi che ho sul personaggio Guinan sono:
Lei è un El-Auriana come Soran(Generations) ma quest'ultimo sembra non avere la sua preveggenza o altri pseudo poteri.
Se non mi sbaglio in un episodio Guinan parla al pelatone spiegandogli che lui è estremamente importante per il futuro della Federazione ma naturalmente non può dirgli nulla riferendosi chiaramente all'ultimo episodio. (mi sbaglio?)
Il suo mondo è stato devastato dai Borg e i superstiti sono fuggiti e sono stati recuperati dalla Enterprise-B vicino al Nexus(Generations).
Perchè neanche un El-Auriano avverte la Federazione sui Borg già nel 23° secolo?
Perchè Q(essere onnipotente) ha paura di Guinan?
Ho come l'impressione che non ci sia stato detto tutto su questa razza parecchio insolita.

Tenga, come ho già detto diverse volte Guinan non mi piace troppo, è un personaggio che non serve, creato apposta per la Golberg, mi risulta seccante anche tutto quel mistero che non approda a nulla.

Non credo che non serva anzi, i consigli che da gli aiuti potevano essere fatti dal consigliere, ma non sarebbe stata la stessa cosa, un elemento esterno all'equipaggio che interagisce e aiuta la crescita dei personaggi mi sembra che sia più giusto un personaggio con molti anni alle spalle e più esperienza può dare un grosso contributo!
