"It's said if you move but one grain of sand...
You're under risk of altering history"

-Yeah...see the Galaxy they told me,travel to new worlds...
get stucked in a bottled universe...
Hey,How...how did you...

-Where's Kirk? Where can i find him?
-I don't understand...
-Answer me!
-Captain Kirk...Captain of the Enterprise...He died...Twelve years ago...
-No! How?
-He died saving the Enterprise, and (???)
-Saving? Show me!
-...sure, it's not like a classified information...
-He died saving hundred of people?
-Millions, billions of peolple, entire planets. I don't think...in a single person...(???)
-And he wouldn't save me? I didn't wait forty year to be cheated!

Uhura

Captain's personal log stardate 6712.4.
As head of starfleet linguistics my recent assignement had been most rewarding so much so i'm finding as hard to believe it's been forty years since i was first assigned to Enterprise under Captain Kirk's Command.
I should be elated to attend a sermon in his honour in his accomplishments, but the memory of his passing twelve years ago is still very painful.
And it doesn't helped my dear friend Scotty is still missing, or that Sulu is away on the gamma quadrant for the next three years, or that Mccoy and Spock won't be able to breakaway from their negotiations with the Klingons.
All this has made me realize that something is ...mmmh...missing in my life.
Perhaps tough, since my all friend attending with dedication at a very special ship is exactly wath i need.
Something we all need.

Updated 29/12/07
@Sfera: corretto "different" con "dear friend Scotty", grazie. Sei mitica!

1. X - (You're under risk of altering history)

corretto : You run the risk of altering history.

Run the risk of (un'idioma ; risk = il sostantivo) = risk (il verbo).

2. Get stuck in the butt end of the universe. Butt = cu.lo. Stucked non esiste ; il verbo e' irregolare.

3. He died saving the Enterprise and hundreds of refugees. Refugee = profugo.

4. X - (Sure, it's not like a classified information.)

corretto : Yeah, it's... it's... it's not like it's classified information.

Traduzione: Boh, non e' informazioni segrete. Yeah = Il gergo americano per yes. Classified information = informazioni segrete.

Si deve dire A piece of classified information, Some classified information, ecc.

-----------------

ESEMPI :

COUNT NOUNS:

I see a chair.
I want to buy a car.

NON-COUNT NOUNS:

I want information. (or... I want some information, ...a little information, ...a lot of information, ...considerable information, ...a piece of information, ecc.)
I need advice. (or... I need some advice, ecc.)
I bought furniture. (or... I bought some furniture, ecc.)

-----------------

5. I don't think there's been a single person who's had the kind of influence...

A me sembra una cosa bellissima e divertente.

-Cos...Non capisco...
-Rispondi!
-Il capitano Kirk...Capitano dell'Enterprise...E' morto...Dodici anni fa...
-No! Come?
-E non avrebbe salvato me?

Uhura

1. My recent assignments (plurale), non assignment (singolare).

2. X - (...attend a sermon in his honor in his accomplisments)

corretto : ...attend the ceremonies honoring his accomplishments

Sermon = sermone. Ceremony = cerimonia.

3. X - (It doesn't helped). Non esiste in inglese.

corretto : It doesn't help.

It helps. (Si parla del presente.)
It helped. (Si parla del passato.)

but

It doesn't help. (Si parla del presente.)
It didn't help.

4. ...in the Gamma Quandrant, non on.

5. Perhaps though, non tough. Though = nonostante.

6. X- (since my all friends attending with dedication at a very special ship is exactly wath i need.)

corretto : ...seeing some old friends and attending the dedication of a very special ship is exactly what I need.

Continuero'...

2)and hundreds of refugees. Refugee = profugo...
Ti immagini Kirk in sottofondo cantare "Killing me soflty with his song.."?

Correzioni :

1. l'esclamzione d'Uhura : Well as I live and breathe!

2. So how do you like our little ship?. Nell'inglese piu' semplice: Do you like our ship?

3. Well I must say, Commander Kirk, it's beyond amazing.

4. I agree. It's the perfect tribute to all who served aboard her.

5. X - (Sure...The last time that you sat there sit you're working!)

Hai tirato a indovinare bene.

corretto : Well it should! The last time you sat in that seat you were a kid.

6. ...if you wouldn't mind.

------------------------------------------------------------

errori di ortografia :

X - (alredy, beatiful)

corretto : already, beautiful

------------------------------------------------------------

7. Oh, sorry, I was just... remembering.

8. Starfleet Security is as full of red tape as any other department.

9. Politics as usual.

10. X - Was i(?) a bit nervous?

corretto : Was I being obvious?

11. I can't help it. They're living legends.

UHURA: Well as I live and breathe!
CHECOV: Nyota!

UHURA: Well I must say, Commander Kirk, it's beyond amazing!
CHECOV: I agree. It's the perfect tribute to all who served aboard her, especially Captain kirk!

UHURA: Go ahead. You know, you want it.
COMMUNICATIONS: Captain Uhura...
UHURA: Oh, thank you no. I've already put in my time...John, how good to see you again!
HARRIMAN: Looking beautiful as always.
UHURA: Oh...charmer.
HARRIMAN: Hello Pavel.

P.KIRK: Was I being obvious??
HARRIMAN: A little.
P.KIRK: I can't help it. They're living legends. My uncle told me everything about them.
HARRIMAN: ...about your uncle...
P.KIRK: He made his own choices. He lived and died exactly the way he wanted to.
HARRIMAN: I almost left Starfleet over that incident, but Chekov was aboard the day your uncle died, and he and Uhura convinced me it wouldn't have mattered who was sitting in the Captain's chair that day. And since then we've been the best of friends.
P.KIRK: Status Report.
COMMUNICATIONS: We've received a code one distress signal from an automated security beacon that's orbiting the planet with the designation M 622.
UHURA: M 622? but that's...
P.KIRK: A code one distress call? And Starfleet's only ship that's a museum?
HARRIMAN: A brave man once told me that risk comes with command in a starship.
P.KIRK: Helm, lay in a course.
CHECOV: Deja Vu. All over again!

@Mark:
Quando Shatner canta, corro via...

Qualche suggerimento:

"...Maybe, just maybe, Benny isn't the dream... we are. Maybe we're nothing more than figments of his imagination. For all we know, at this very moment, somewhere, far beyond all those distant stars... Benny Russel is dreaming of us."

Mille grazie e grazie mille !

Suppongo che "ci sia stata" voglia dire that there has ever been e che "ci sia" voglia dire that there is.

Suggerimenti :
